A Cabinet des Estampes, or print cabinet, was historically the private domain of scholars and aristocrats. A space where the tactile history of the world is preserved in ink, hand transferred from woodcut, copperplate or stone.
Our collection is anchored in this tradition. We do not deal in mass-produced reproductions or trends. Instead, we source one-of-a-kind antique prints from the Belle Époque.
Every piece in our Cabinet is hand-selected for its graphic power and historical resonance. Whether it is a turn-of-the-century satirical lithograph from L’Assiette au Beurre, 18th-century woodcut playing cards, or a limited-edition fine art stone lithograph from Les Maîtres de l’Affiche, our mission is to bridge the gap between the archival prestige of institutions like the BnF and the modern collector’s home.
We invite you to explore, to collect, and to become a temporary steward of these paper treasures.
“Every piece in this collection is handled, stored, and prepared using archival, acid-free materials and museum-grade techniques.”
The Cabinet des Estampes is the result of a lifelong intersection between technical discipline and artistic passion. What began as a private pursuit of sourcing rare woodcuts and Belle Époque lithographs from auctions and private dealers across Europe has grown into this curated Cabinet.
Although an engineer by background, my studies in Art History and Printmaking in Canada, followed by specialised training in Art Restoration in London, provided the foundational skills required to transition from an admirer of paper to a disciplined steward of it.
I am committed to the rigorous identification of editions, verification of provenance and authenticity. Every piece in this collection is handled, stored, and prepared using archival, acid-free materials and museum-grade techniques.
My goal is to share my eye for the ‘exceptional’ with fellow collectors and designers who value both the beauty and technical mastery of these historical artifacts that I believe deserve a place in a well-considered home.
